The Team
The Pedals for Pediatrics team is dedicated to raising money for, and awareness of, pediatric oncology services and research at the Dana-Farber/Childrens Hospital Cancer Care (DF/CHCC). They are fortunate to be able to utilize the PMC funds we raise to directly benefit the patients and families through program support, direct financial assistance, and research.
This year's team raised $374,127. That is almost $25,000 more than last year. Since the team was first formed in 2004, they have raised $1,691,642. While the Pan-Mass Challenge supports the entire Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (adult and pediatric), every dollar contributed to the team goes to the pediatric oncology and neuro-oncology programs.
This is the 7th year for the Pedals for Pediatrics team, which started riding the PMC in 2004 with a group of five. Today that group has grown to 65, many of whom work at Children’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or are friends and family of children who have been treated there. They know first hand the impact of our funding programs.
Some of the initiatives funded by P4P include the Oncology/SCT Resource Rooms at Children's Hospital Boston, the Parking Program, a new washer and dryer for the 6th floor, the Patient Assistance Program (providing mortgage and rent assistance for families in need), and telecommunications equipment for neuro-oncology research. Thank you for your support of the Pedals for Pediatrics team!
We welcome new riders and encourage you to contact us at p4pcontactus@pedalsforpediatrics.org.
