When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the world changes for the entire family. Hospitalizations, medication schedules and clinic appointments quickly replace work, school and social routines. The financial impact is often staggering. Parents, siblings, family and friends share the difficult journey with the child, experiencing the fear, worry and fatigue that come with a cancer diagnosis.

The PMC Pedals for Pediatrics team is dedicated “easing the burden of childhood cancer” for children and families. Established in 2004 by a group of five riders, the team has grown to over sixty riders, raising over $2.7 million dollars and striving to break the $3 million mark this year.

P4P riders include family and friends of children and young adults affected by cancer, along with several Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center clinicians who provide patient care and are invested in pediatric cancer research.

P4P funds are divided in three ways: direct financial assistance, program support and pediatric cancer research. Your contributions to Pedals for Pediatrics help to “ease the burden of childhood cancer” by giving financial assistance to families in need, supporting programming for kids and families, and providing dollars for pediatric cancer research.
